I've seen shots in the multimon gallery where the Windows taskbar runs through on the secondary monitor.
How is this possible? Does it have somathing to do with settings of the ultramon program?
(btw beta4 really rocks, I can finally play games without having to disable my secondary monitor!)

This happens with cards that don't have full multi-monitor support on Windows 2000, for example the ATI RADEON VE and Nvidia TwinView cards. The reason is that Win2000 treats both monitors as a single large one.
I'm working on a similar feature for UltraMon, see this thread for more information.
Regarding games with Beta 4: unfortunately I can't take credit for this... I guess you upgraded your Nvidia Win2000 drivers?

Try powerdesk, it allows you to make an extra floating taskbar, then you can just move the bar to the secondary monitor
