Looking at setting up a new machine, running with an nVidia Quadro FX1300 to two 19” DVI LCD screens.
Not sure of the best way to go about configuring the system though. From what I can tell, nVidia has driver software for their card as expected, but the driver software seems to have additional features (nVidia View?) that would appear to duplicate some functionality of the UltraMon.
I think there is little question that I need to install the nVidia software driver, but should I disable certain functionality and let UltraMon handle those tasks – and if that is the case, is there a quick tutorial/details on how to do this?
Appreciate any feedback or comments.
Thanks,
John

You can safely disable the nView Desktop Manager, but using both UltraMon and the nView Desktop Manager should also work fine.
To completely disable the nView Desktop Manager, go to Control Panel > NVIDIA nView Desktop Manager.
If you want to use both: if custom window buttons are enabled in nView, you would need to disable them or configure custom spacing under UltraMon Options > Window Title Bar, otherwise the buttons will overlap.
