Forums -> UltraMon™ SDK -> Windows can still be moved into detached displays

Having detached a display, I am still able to move windows into it - they then snap back according to the WindowMinOverlap setting.

For my application, I need to ensure that windows can never be dragged onto a detached display. More precisely, I need to ensure that no other processes are allowed to draw onto the detached display in any way. Is this possible?

Thanks,

Tom.

UltraMon does not support this, and my guess would be that it probably can't be done.

The independent display support provided by the OS would support this, but has some other issues, see Programming > Independent Displays for more on this.

I experienced this strange thing too on win2000:
You can move windows to a detached desktop (when a program runs attached to it) and when you stop holding the mouse button it sort of jump to the other window, still having a little of it on screen, argh sorry for my bad english ;)
