I'm not sure what happened, but the other day when I was messing around with Ultramon to get things configured they way I wanted it (I'm currently using the trial version) the program removed my application tabs that indicate running programs on my primary Start taskbar. I have a temporary fix by creating a Smart Taskbar on my primary display, so I can see the buttons for the programs that I currently have running, but I can't figure out a way to get my programs back on my main taskbar. I've unlocked it, moved things around, unchecked everything so that the programs should be the only thing appearing, and went through the process of letting Smart Taskbar recreate a default config (as mentioned here).
I also tried diagnostic and selective bootups using msconfig. It's clearly something set with the Windows Taskbar itself, but I can't figure out what it is. Any help? Thanks!

Make sure you haven't configured the UltraMon taskbar to show tasks from the monitor with the Windows taskbar as well.
To do this, right-click a free area on the UltraMon taskbar, then adjust the 'Show Tasks from' setting as necessary.
If you also have the problem without UltraMon running, it's probably due to something else, UltraMon doesn't reconfigure the Windows taskbar in any way. Unfortunately I don't know what might cause this.

Bummer. Yeah, the problem exists when Ultramon isn't running -- it even exists when I do a diagnostic boot.
Ah, well, I'll continue looking elsewhere...
