I'm running WinXP Pro SP2 with Multimon 2.5.22.0.
On my primary monitor I can select multiple tasks using the CTRL key which then enables me to right click and choose from the context menu "Cascade;Tile Horizontally;Tile Vertically;Minimize Group;Close Group". Particularly the Tile options are very useful when dealing with multiple windows and displaying them equal size on the screen.
On my secondary monitor I cannot select multiple tasks, therefore I cannot get the group context menu.
How do you other people distribute windows on the screen? Example: when I want to compare 2 different windows, i just select both and choose tile vertically and they are auto arranged next to each other each taking half of the screen.
Does Multimon provide any different way of doing this that i'm missing?
Thanks, Mark
ps. alternatively is there a way to create shorcuts that position IE windows in a specific spot with a specific size on the screen?

The UltraMon taskbar currently doesn't support selecting multiple tasks, support for this will be considered for UltraMon 3.
To create multiple IE shortcuts with different position/size, copy an existing IE shortcut, then open properties for the shortcut and configure the settings on the UltraMon - Window tab as desired.

Thanks for the fast response.
Coincidentally I discovered the multimon shortcut options right after creating this thread :)
Looking forward to version 3.

I just tried to do this an found out that it actually doesn't show me the ultramon options if I right-click > properties on a IE/firefox shortcut.
I believe it's related to it being an 'Internet Shortcut' as opposed to a 'Shortcut'.
I created the shortcut by dragging the favicon (icon to the left of the url - ie. http://www.msn.com) to my Desktop.
It does work if I create a shortcut for IE program file (iexplore.exe) but that means that I can't associate any url with it and it will always start with the home page.
I just found out that it works if you manipulate the Target parameter for the IE shortcut from "C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\IEXPLORE.EXE" to something like "C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\IEXPLORE.EXE" "http://myurl.com"
Is there any easier way that i'm missing? Will 'Internet Shortcut' be supported in the next version of Ultramon?

I'll look into this again for UltraMon 3, but the next release of UltraMon (2.6) will not support customizing internet shortcuts (.url files).
I would also recommend creating a shortcut to IE and then adding the URL to the Target field.
