I'm running a PIII 450 on an Abit BX6 rev2 board. Using Win98se. My primary card is a Diamond Viper V770 and my secondary card is a Cirrus Logic CL-GD5446BV-HC-B (I guess the 5446 info covers all these chip?). When I install the second card Windows recognizes it and says "locating the software" Then a dialog box stating "please insert the Win98se disk" pops up and thats it. Windows locks up and a steady tone comes through my speakers. I'm assuming it's a hardware conflict somewhere or something not right in the Abit boards BIOS? Can I leave the machine running, carefully install the card, and set it up manually? HELP Please!!!
