A wallpaper changer will be considered for UltraMon 3.

This program is great i love it on my dual NEC 19' monitors. I realy hope you will add the auto wallpaper changer.

Ideas
1. Change on each startup.
2. Change by time (ex.week, day, hour, and min)

Thanks for your work it would be great to have this feature.

I agree. A wallpaper changer would be a great addition to this already grand program. Ultramon is one of the best and comprehensive multi-monitor programs. With that, adding a few little extras will bring about more joy to using such a wonderful application.

With this improvement, ultramon would become flawless in my opinion.

Look to a program called Winwall for ideas on how this feature should work.

This is the only feature I find myself really wanting in Ultramon. It does everything else I want it to do, I'd buy the next upgrade if it had this in it.

Great program. I want to chime in about the auto wallpaper changer for V3. I have dual Dell 21s. And both those monitors created an awesome display with high quality dual monitor wallpaper.

Ultramon along with dual screens makes me much more productive. But occasionally I like sit back and gaze in hopes that a different wallpaper will change my motivation.

Yes It could be very nice to have a wallpaper changer for each monitor.

On a other computer with single monitor, I have a software called Wallmaster Pro which permit to specify a directory where wallpaper are picked sequently or randomly.
A time can be specify in day, hour, minute or seconds to change the wallpaper.

Then it could be a great thing to have in wallpaper options:
- A directory input to specify a directory for a common wallpaper directory (where WP are picked for all screens) or a directory input for each screen.
- A radio box to specify if wallpaper are changed sequently or randomly
- A time input and a selectbox (day, hour, minute, second) to specify the interval of wallpaper change.
- option like : "same wp on each screen", "take wp different wp for each screeen randomly", ...

Take a minute to test wallmaster pro before developping this feature for ultramon3, I test a lot of wallpaper changer softwares and this one is very good (simple and effective).

I use another wallpaper change called Wallchanger, which picks a bmp either in sequence or at random from a specified directory and writes it to c:\windows\wallchanger.bmp. Shouldn't there be a way, with the existing release of Ultramon, to have wallchanger.bmp stretched across my two monitors and make it autorefresh at an interval (I have my wallChanger wallpaper set to autochange every 20 min)?

That should work, I have uploaded a new version of the ReloadWallpaper script which adds support for reloading a specific wallpaper.

To set this up:

1) create a new UltraMon wallpaper which uses c:\windows\wallchanger.bmp as the image stretched across the desktop

2) after the wallpaper changer has updated the wallchanger.bmp file, run the ReloadWallpaper script and pass it the name of your UltraMon wallpaper

To automate this, you could run ReloadWallpaper every 20 minutes through the Windows scheduler.

If I could add to this before Beta 3.0 gets really rolling, I'd like to see a wallpaper option that I've never seen suggested before.

One of the issues that we are beginning to see is when people are undocking their laptops they are (understandably) moving from a higher-resolution, dual display screens (and wallpaper), to a lower resolution, single display, sometimes even with a different aspect-ratio. Since even current versions of UltraMon "know" when they are in dual-display mode or not, what I'd love to see is separate wallpaper settings for single-display mode vs dual-display mode. This way when I have my 3360 pixel-wide dual display image cut to 1080 when undocked and running mobile things don't look weird.

Love the product and just to let you know well will be buying more corporate licenses once 3.0 releases.
