I recently purchased an Adobe advanced training series on DVD. I intended to use my dual monitor setup to play the training on one monitor while I did the exercises in another.
I have Nero 6.x (latest download) DVD playback and it works great if I start it on the primary monitor. However if I start it on the secondary monitor OR I try to move/resize the window at all DVD playback hangs.
I don't know that this is an UltraMon issue - but it doesn't happen when I remove ULtraMon from my system.
THe same problem occurs if I do DVD playback using Windows Media Player.
Running XP - all latest patches - ATI Radeon 9800XT with 4.6 CATs

I believe the DVD codec included with ATI cards will only let you play it on the ATI display--It probably uses something on the card to decode the DVD..perhaps a Hardware decoder..or something.
I know that I can only view my live video from my capture card on my ATI display (Well, the display and the capture card are the same device)

Seems unlikely that UltraMon would affect DVD playback, unless you are using mirroring and have disabled video overlays.
You could try if you have the same problem with PowerDVD, they have a trial version available.
