Forums -> UltraMon™ -> Feature request, store position of real TaskBar in display profiles

I just began to use profiles for my three different situations:
1) Stand alone
2) Office (with a LCD monitor on the left)
3) Home (with a CRT monitor at the right)

Because my laptop is not capable of setting the external monitor as the primary monitor, I manually drag the original taskbar from the internal (primary) monitor to the external (secondary) monitor in case 2 and 3. A SmartTaksBar will be used on the internal monitor.

The following feature requests would be very nice:
1) Could the position of the real taskbar be stored in the profiles of case 2 and 3.

2) When running at the laptop only, is it possible to hide the smarttaskbar, because the real taskbar is available already. This could be stored in the display profile as well.

3) It would be great if UltraMon could detect the attached external monitor and use the associated display profile.

Looking forward to your comments,

JP

Thanks for the suggestions, will be considered for UltraMon 3.

Moving the Windows taskbar most likely won't be supported, I haven't found a way to do this reliably yet.

The current version of UltraMon allows you to do this via scripting, might or might not work on your system depending on how the taskbar is configured. See UltraMon Help > Scripting > Samples > Move Windows taskbar for a sample script.
