Forums -> UltraMon™ -> win98 mirroring??

I've recently had the joys of breaking VGA output on my laptop (doh). So I picked up a Margi Display-to-Go to help with presentations and such. Works great, but no mirroring in Win98. I tested Ultramon on my XP PC. Very slick program, but again, no win98 mirroring. I've looked high and low for a workaround for this, but nothing. So what I'm really asking is why. Why doesn't win98 & me support mirrogin?? I would be happy with just knowing that.

The old version of UltraMon mirroring has Win98/Me support, but is quite a bit slower than the new version (depends on the processor speed though).

It's called MirrorMon, and is available for download from the Add-ons page.

The new version of mirroring uses a feature that's only available in Windows 2000 and later to improve mirroring performance, for this reason there is no Win98/Me support.
