My laptop monitor is cracked and wont show anything, so i used ultramon to change to a desktop monitor as my primary. but i cant change it from 800x600 with 8-bit color depth.When i do try, the screen goes black for a second, asks me if i want to change back, but it hasnt changed.thanks in advance.

PS, ive COMPLETELY disabled the laptop's monitor.

Do you have the same problem when changing display settings via Windows Display Properties?
