For some reason i accidentally dragged the tazskbar on my second monitor onto the first monitor, resulting in 2 taskbars on my primary monitor, and none on the second.
When i dragged the taskbar back to it's place on the second monitor, i noticed the taskbars had gone wrong: the taskbar on the second monitor only shows programs that are running on the first monitor, and taskbar one on the first monitor only shows windows that are actually on the second monitor. This is obviously very annoying.
I tried doing the exact same thing to change the situation back, but it kept having the same problem. If i shut down my secondary monitor, my whole primary taskbar goes blank (because there's nothing on the second monitor as it is shut down). Reinstalling multimon, and upgrading to the latest version didn't work either.
For now i put the taskbars on mirored, so now they both show all windows. That's the only way my pc is workable at this time.
The question is of course: how do i solve this?

I took a pic of it:
here
You can see wordpad is opened on the left, but displayed in the taskbar on the right, and notepad is opened on the left, but displayed in taskbar on the right... The right monitor is the primary one, the left one is the secondary.
Also i noticed another problem: if i maximise any window in the secondary monitor, it maximises over the whole screen, and covers the taskbar. It should however maximise in the space above the taskbar, and not cover the taskbar...
Any sollution for this? :s

To adjust from which monitors the UltraMon taskbar shows tasks, right-click a free area of the taskbar and adjust the 'Show Tasks from' setting.
Also see the FAQ for more information on configuring the Smart Taskbar.

To fix the problem with maximized windows, right-click the UltraMon taskbar and make sure that 'Always on Top' is checked.

I am glad I found this post. I had the same problem after moving my taskbar to the second monitor. In the UltraMon options for the Smart Taskbar I had the "Standard" mode checked. The description for "standard" mode is; each taskbar only shows tasks from the monitor it is on. That is not really true. "Each taskbar only shows tasks from the monitors you assign to that taskbar" would be more accurate.
