Hi There
Iam having problems persuading my icons to stay where I put them. I dont have auto arrange set, and I position the icons as a line at the bottomm of the second monitor, I save the icon positions using Ultramon (V2.2), I then test that it saved ok by moving them and restoring the position, all is fine, but everytime I restart my PC they all jump back to the primary display as if autoarrange is on, and when I go to restore the positions they just stay put. Where am I going wrong?

Try disabling automatic icon positioning under UltraMon Options > General (uncheck 'preserve position of desktop icons').
You can still save and restore the position of desktop icons manually, for example from the UltraMon menu, but UltraMon will no longer save icon positions automatically during system shutdown.

Iam afraid that didnt help, they all popped back onto the primary monitor when I started up today. Iam running Win2k with all service packs if that helps at all and a Radeon 9700Pro adpater.

For troubleshooting, please send me the icon positions saved by UltraMon after you have saved them with UltraMon for the first time, and after restoring them when you have restarted the system.
To do this, open regedit.exe, select the key 'HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Realtime Soft\UltraMon\Saved Positions\Icons', then select File\Export from the menu and save the key to a .reg file.

I have the same problem but when i save the positions and restore positions it seem like the positions never was saved since they all go back to the positions i dont want them in...
