MS Word 10 (XP) on Windows XP.
I've already complained once that opening MS-Outlook (with Word as its editor) causes an annoying empty Word frame window to appear.
I'm sorry to report that this frame window also appears when doing Edit/Search-Replace from within Word itself.

Unfortunately I can't reproduce this issue, find in Word XP works without problems on my XP system.
For further troubleshooting, you could try if you have the same problem if Matrox PowerDesk is disabled (you can disable it using msconfig.exe).

I disabled Powerdesk. It still happens.

Thanks for the log, the only other hook is from Matrox PowerDesk.
Unfortunately I can't reproduce this issue, and don't know what else might cause it. Let me know if you find out anything else.
Here's how I tested: Word XP on either the primary or a secondary monitor, successful and unsuccessful Edit\Replace. No additional windows were created.
