Forums -> UltraMon™ -> Maximize to other monitor icon

Works great. However, the icon is always something like |-> while it'd better be <-| for the right montior (as you really want to move the window to the Left monitor).

Seems foolish, but it irks me every time!

Thanks for the suggestion. The problem is that this would only make sense if you have 2 monitors side-by-side, for configurations with more than 2 monitors or monitors stacked vertically it wouldn't be useful.

As a workaround, you could create a custom icon for the Move button. See Help > Customization > Creating custom window buttons for more information.

I think your statistics show that about 70% of the users have two monitors side by side!

I think the workaround won't solve this, because I don't want to "always replace" the icon - I want to use different icons depending on whether the window is in the left on in the right monitor.

Christian, I thought about it. What you should really have is the ability to move right, left, top bottom, (& diagonal, if you're really a perfectionist). Possibly use four icons with some disable (for monitors that are on the edge), or a "drop down" icon (you know, that when you click it expends to a small context menu just like eBay's toolbar that has a "search web" with a little arrow to its right that when you click on the arrow expands to many options).

How do people todway tell multimon to which monitor to move the window if the user has more than two monitors?

Ultramon, UltraMon, not monimon. Sorry ... :-)

If more than 2 monitors are enabled, the user can select the monitor using a monitor selection control, see Features > Window management for a screenshot ('Choose monitor' window).
