I cannot seem to get the shortcuts to work. I have set up a DVD program to open on monitor 2 (my CRT monitor) but it always opens on monitor 1 (my LCD) i have tried with other programs, and have had the same problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

UltraMon may not be able to move all applications.
One thing you can try is to set Show to Last Used Position instead of specifying a position explicitly.
Once you have made the change, launch the shortcut, position the application, then close it. The next time you launch the shortcut, UltraMon will try to restore all windows of the application to their previous positions.
To test if shortcuts are working correctly otherwise, try creating a shortcut to Calculator which moves it to a specific monitor.
