I have a Dell Optiplex GX1 with an integrated AGP ATI Rage Pro video card. I want to have a second monitor with the same size/resolution/color. Should I get another ATI card or does it even matter? What would be a good card?

No need to get another ATI card, could even be better to get a different card (except for color matching). Nvidia TNT, 3dfx Voodoo3 2000, 3Dlabs Permedia2 should work fine as secondary, among others.
You could have a problem with the onboard video: there are motherboards which disable the onboard video if they detect any other VGA card.
