Perhaps you should team-up with Yuri Kobets, creator of True Launch Bar.
True Launch Bar already integrates perfectly in a Quick Launch style. Next he is planning to do away with explorer as a host, allow movement of the system tray, etc.
True Launch Bar and UltraMon are highly complementary programs.
