I have 3 screens which are arranged in a L shape (2 next to each other, and the other above bottom left screen)
The Wallpaper feature that allows you to span the monitors is a brilliant idea BUT if i do this in my case, it treats my setup as if I have x4 screens in a square, and I actually never see the top right quarter of the wallpaper at all.
At the moment, I am having to split my wallpaper picture down the middle (using paint or whatever) and save it as 2 separate files, and use separate (split)files for each bottom screen to get around this.
Was wondering about the possibility of a "ignore this monitor" feature when applying spanned wallpaper under ultramon, if its even possible.

Thanks for the suggestion. This is something I'm considering for a future release, the main problem is determining how to map the wallpaper to the monitors.
How did you split the wallpaper for your setup? Top-right quarter on the bottom-right monitor, or on the top-left monitor?

2 1 3
Actually I arnt using screen 2 at all as part of a spanned wallpaper, if I was to use this monitor, screen 1's picture would have to be stretched at a guess, which would throw out the alignment of the picture across screen 1 and 3 and if you were to stretch the whole picture overall....back to the problem not having a top right screen and hence missing part of the picture.
Currently I'm splitting the picture up its guts so to speak manually in a photo editor, and saving each half of the picture in a separate file.
Then I choose "a different background/image for each monitor" and choose each file myself, kinda a manual span if your following me so far.
ie
SCREEN2 RedStormPic.bmp
SCREEN1 SCREEN3 landscapeLEFT.bmp landscapeRIGHT.bmp
I'm probably accurate in saying that anybody that doesn't have their screens in either one straight line, or in a square/rectangle configuration has the same problem I am experiencing?,
Im thinking the best option would be a "ignore this monitor when applying wallpaper" as I cant think of a way of including screen 2 as part of spanned wallpaper without messing the picture up.
Hope your following what I wrote, I reread it a few times and changed it alot trying to get it more readable, but im terrible at stringing sentences together legibly :(
If you head over to this address http://home.iprimus.com.au/daniel54/Pictures%20page.htm you can see my current "manual spanned" system there...I will upload a screenshot of my spanning wallpaper across all screens too once i post this so you can see the problem yourself...shoulda thought of that before lol

Uploaded the screenshot to the same page, just click on "Christian here" and it will (fingers crossed) bring it up, I arn't very html savvy, you probably want to save the pic and view it zoomed out to see the problem.
Noticed my post has autoformatted out all the spaces i put in to separate what pictures i was using on each screen so might be a little hard to understand, but the screenshot will show what happens when i choose "one background/image for the whole desktop" anyway better than I did (or could lol)
Thanks for your time goin through this, I guess Im one of the "god not him again" people unfortunatly lol.

Thanks for the information, I see exactly what you mean now.
Basically you would want a spanned wallpaper option that guarantees that the whole wallpaper is visible.
Several implementations would be possible, for example an ignore monitor option as you suggested, or an option to choose the monitors over which the wallpaper should be spanned.
>>> I'm probably accurate in saying that anybody that doesn't have their screens in either one straight line, or in a square/rectangle configuration has the same problem I am experiencing? <<<
That's right, the wallpaper will always be spanned across the bounding rectangle of all monitors. For example, if you use different resolutions, parts of the wallpaper will also be hidden.

Either way sounds great, solve a few probs for me at least :) Wouldn't be hard to implement as ultramon can already use separate wallpaper for each screen? Not that I would have a clue mind you lol, programming is waaay beyond my skills ;)
