Using the Matron Millennium 450 Dual-Head, with its included drivers, we found that there were limited settings that would work properly in Windows2000, and none in Windows98.

In some cases AVI video would only play in one monitor and appear as a blank hole in the other monitor, and sometimes Director couldn't recognize the existence of the second monitor at all.

Has anyone used UltraMon with Director 8/8.5 and Windows 98/2000? Have you seen any problems like this? Are there any dual-monitor cards that are known to work better or worse with Director?

If Director doesn't recognize the second monitor with Windows 2000, you'll need to install newer drivers and enable independent display support during setup.

No video on the secondary monitor could be due to lack of video overlays (the G450 only supports them on display 1), or because of a limitation of the video playback engine, for example QuickTime and Real don't support playback on secondary monitors.
