I cannot get the on board video card to acknowledge or respond when the other video card (GeForce) is working. Could any one help me with this?

usually the onboard VGA is hardwired to AGP. As soon as you insert a "real" AGP card in the AGP slot, the onpoard VGA is ALWAYS (?) disabled. Unless your GF4MX is a PCI your setup cannot work.
