I have the G400 Dual Head, ASUS P2BS Motherboard and found a bug with Media Player 7 that shipped with Windows ME. To replicate the bug, have Outlook 2000 and any views, attachments, popups, windows that it uses be contained ALL on your second monitor. View a MPEG movie as an attachment (send one to yourself), once again making sure that Outlook is being used 100% on your secondard monitor. I repeat, nothing should be on your primary monitor. When you double click the attachments to view, the file association should automatically open Windows Media Player on either monitor. You will notice that the sound plays but NO video.

The fix is to open the email on your primary monitor and not the secondard monitor.

Also I'm aware about Directx, directplay, etc, only works on the primary, but I'm telling you it doesn't matter which monitor media player is located on. It doesn't matter which monitor is used for media player but it does matter which monitor is being used for by Outlook as I have a fix for it. Also, so far this problem has only occured with attachments with MPG or MPEG extension.

Anyone else run into this problem or know why this is happening?

Thanks in advance,

Same problem using W2K on two Matrox Millenium cards. Mpeg audio plays but no video.
