ive got my system running Win2k, S3Virge PCI as primary on boot-up and Gefore AGP as secondary. Windows wont have it any other way. In windows i can choose the primary.

What i want is to have my TV tuner displaying on the Virge, which therefore must be primary. And have the Geforce to play games. The problem is that any game i run tries to use the Primary adapter, which is annoying. Is there any way i can force games to use the Geforce when its set to secondary?

Most games won't run on any other monitor than the primary, so you'll have to set the GeForce as primary in Display Properties before running the game. Annoying, but shouldn't be a problem as no reboot is required.

BTW, I guess you didn't get the ET6000 to work?

that right, i chucked out the ET6000, well i gave it to my Dad and had his Virge :)

Some games will work when they have an option to choose the D3d device. But im sure there is an app that lets you choose which one to use by default. I wished that the ET6000 would work because it has no Direct3d support so there wouldnt be any problem.

Regarding manually assigning which display is Primary of Seconday. In my config I have my TNT2 set as Primary, and my S3 Verge/DX as Secondary. Like everyone else I have to set the S3 as the Primary boot device (in Win2k). Now my problem is mostly with SW: Pod Racer. In Win98SE it works fine, I believe because I have to set my TNT2 as the primary boot to get into Win98SE. In Win2k, where I have to set it back to PCI/AGP, when the game tries to play on the TNT2(set to Primary) I get a strange blinking of the screen, which prevents me from even getting into the game. If I boot up as AGP/PCI the S3 device will not load, but the game plays fine off of my TNT2. Now what I am getting at is, even though Win2k may be able to assign with device will be primary and which will be seconday, some applications(games) may not like it. I am getting a Millenium II on Monday, so I will see then if this problem is with the game, or the S3 Virge's inability to be set as secondary bood device.
