Forums -> UltraMon™ -> Another bug with Remote Desktop?

I made a fresh install of UltraMon without any changes to default setup. I have to monitors, both running with a GeForce (One GeForce 3 on AGP and a GeForce 2 MX PCI).
I made a quick look around here in the threads, but found nothing. (Besides a thread having a problem with remote desktop in the other direction)
I control a server (Win2K machine) on my XP machine. Connecting with the remote desktop of XP on the terminal services makes me an unresizeable window. My primary resolution is 1600x1200 and my secondary 1280x1024, the remote window is 1024x768.
With UltraMon installed, all I can do is move the window from one monitor to the other and vice versa. But it is impossible to move the window on one of the monitors! It is fixed top left!
(If it matters, I am one of the few users on the world having the taskbar on top)

Make sure you haven't maximized the remote desktop window.

If it is maximized, you'll get the behavior you described, the window moves to the top-left corner of the monitor and can't be moved freely.

This happens if the 'enable moving of maximized windows using the mouse' option is enabled (Options > General). If this option is enabled, UltraMon overrides the default move behavior.

I like having my Task bar on top as well :)

Thanx

Taskbar docked on the top edge of the screen should work fine.

The issue mentioned here is related solely to the Remote Desktop window being maximized, taskbar position doesn't matter.

Taskbar on top has a long tradition :-)
Anyway your tip helped. It works now as a charm

So UM thinks the Terminal Services window is maximised to the limits of the screen even if its not?
Weird.
Mind you, with the move option disabled its no problem as the 'move screen' icon is a much better way than dragging the window.

This issue was fixed in 2.7.0.
