NEWBIE -- Have an ATI Radeon VE, and the ATI driver doesn't show the monitor layout as shown in you Ultramon write-up.
How do I setup??

Are you using Windows 2000? The Windows 2000 drivers for the Radeon VE don't have true multi-monitor support, which means that both Windows and UltraMon will only show a single large monitor instead of two.

did you buy your radeon retail, or oem? you might that your card was no built by ati, but a 3rd party manufacturer. ati's website has all the info how to identify the origins of your card.
i myself bought a dual ati radeon 32mb, only to bring it home, download the ati drivers and not have true dual display. after much reading and researching i discover who the 3rd party manufacture was and download their drivers. never had a glitch since.

Does anyone know if there are ATI Radeon VE drivers now that have true dual monitor support under Windows 2000?
I tried installing ones that just came out from ATIs site, as rage3d.com said ATI officially released them, so I assume this means they have true multi-mon support. It told me it didnt support my adapter! (Its possible I have an OEM and dont know it.)
Any advice?

Okay its time to let everybody in on the secret, most of us know it, but for those of you who don't: Ati is a great company with incredible hardware, but they are like that guy down the street that builds a really bad ass street machine, just to let it sit up and look pretty. And there are people out there that realized this a long time ago, and started colaborating to help the rest of us out. These are those beautiful people inside ati that leak new drivers, which eventually make it to your third party driver creators. Third Party Drivers are the SHIT, do not discount the underdog. NOw get your ass back to rage3d.com, and go to the unsupported third party drivers page. You'll find the beautiful people there.
On another note, true multimon did happen with the x.x.6071 beta driver version, but for some reason it seems to have dissappeared in the full release
